Workout suggestions
First of all, research has proven that a
person cannot hurt themselves by jumping too high on a quality rebounder.
Studies have shown that the human body is able to withstand up to 8 G's
by jumping on a rebounder at a maximum achievable altitude.
Bouncing may be more fun for you if you do it while listening to music.
Put on your favorite lively songs (such as any song with a beat, i.e.
rock and roll, country swing, jazz and Big Band) and pretend that you
are dancing. You can adapt almost all types of dancing to bouncing on a
rebounder. For example, you can practice ballet moves by bouncing up to
en pointe and plie down; do the Scottish Highland Fling; do the twist or
cha-cha. In other words, you will be boogying up rather than boogying
down. You can even bounce dance to your favorite work-out videos. This
is a fun way in which to achieve an aerobic workout. Or you may prefer
to just bounce while watching TV, rather than reclining on the couch or
sitting in your easy chair.
You can also practice many sports on the rebounder such as martial arts,
weight lifting, tennis swings, basketball shots, skiing, cheerleading or
boxing. Bouncing can be added to nearly any movement. When working out
on the rebounder, you can walk, shuffle, pretend to climb, jump rope,
jog or run.
Exercise movements such as twists, curls, jumping jacks, presses, arm
motions with weights, can be accomplished while bouncing on a rebounder.
